Cookies strictly necessary for the website to work, such as session or basket cookies, require no consent. Audience measurement and advertising cookies do.
The banner must make refusing as easy as accepting. A banner with a large green ‘Accept all’ button and a grey refusal link is non-compliant, and this is the most frequently penalised case.
