Understanding the term
Three things matter more than the displayed rating: recency, because a review from 2021 is less reassuring than one from last month; frequency, because a steady flow beats a sudden burst; and a response, because replying shows that someone is listening.
A perfect score from three reviews inspires less confidence than 4.6 from eighty. Imperfection builds credibility, provided it is addressed.
