Understanding the term
The aim is to demonstrate comprehensive coverage of a subject rather than present an isolated page. Fifteen connected articles on one topic carry far more weight than fifteen unrelated articles.
The linking rule is straightforward: each supporting page links back to the main page, the main page links to all its supporting pages, and supporting pages on the same topic link to one another.
