Understanding the term
Choosing the CMS should never be a project’s first decision. It follows from what the website needs to do and who will maintain it. Choosing it first is like buying shelves before knowing what you need to store.
The real question is not which one is best, because none is best in every situation, but who will be working on the website in eighteen months. If that is you, choose what you know. If it is a provider, choose what they know, but insist on a standard system rather than a homemade invention.
