Understanding the term

It differs from a simple mention: naming a company in an explanation does not necessarily mean recommending it to the customer. The meaning of the answer and any stated conditions need to be examined.

Check accuracy too. A company can be recommended with an incorrect address, service or price. Tracking should retain these errors rather than count only favourable appearances.

To observe discovery, ask questions that do not already contain the brand name. Questions that name it are better used to check how it is presented. Compare observations using the same product, the same mode and a documented context.
