Behind the scenes
The decisions behind the project
01The starting point
+
Hair Luxury has supplied premium hair extensions to hairdressing professionals since 1994, from 29 boulevard de Courcelles in Paris. More than a thousand partner salons work with the company, which also provides training.
02The challenge
+
The trap for a B2B supplier is looking like a consumer store. A salon owner is not looking for a pretty photo: she wants the application technique, longevity, colour chart and terms for opening a professional account. The website had to speak to her and politely steer consumers elsewhere.
03The language of the trade
+
Keratin, weft, tapes, aligned cuticles, Remy Hair: the website uses the terms a professional searches for on Google. Each range specifies its application technique, longevity and salon use: low-temperature strand-by-strand application, repositionable cold wefts and tape-in application in forty-five minutes.
04Professional access as the starting point
+
Opening a professional account is the website’s main action, before browsing the catalogue. Qualification happens at registration rather than over the phone, and professional prices remain behind that gateway.
05Experience and network as evidence
+
1994, more than a thousand partner salons, European manufacturing, over thirty shades: these facts appear on the opening screen. In a market where suppliers come and go every year, longevity is the hardest argument to copy.

« Klymax understood our business, the professionals we speak to and what we wanted to communicate. That comes through in the website: the tone, visuals and product presentation really match what we had in mind. »
